Production Assistant

Have you ever looked at a printed or embroidered garment and wondered how it was decorated? Here’s your chance to get into the industry and find out.

Never worked in this type of environment? That’s ok! We will train you on the specific skills needed for the position. What’s most important is that you work well as part of a team, you have an eye for detail and are always looking to learn something new. A willingness to jump in and get your hands dirty helps too.

What you will be doing:

  • Working closely with the production team to ensure a smooth workflow and top quality craftsmanship.

  • Organizing & laying out garments for production.

  • Picking up printed shirts as they come off the belt and performing quality control checks.

  • Trimming embroidered items.

  • Neatly packing and labeling all orders by garment size and colour.

  • Helping with taking care of the screens. Cleaning, exposing and prepping them to go into production. A properly prepared screen is the foundation of what we do.

  • Mixing ink to get the specific colours needed.

Must haves:

  • The ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks. You must be able to comfortably lift 40 lb. boxes.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.

  • A collaborative approach to work

  • Systematic and well organized, especially when under the pressure of tight deadlines.

  • Appreciation of the value of the craft and a belief that details matter. We take pride in every garment we decorate.
